Short background story
A Journey Rooted in Music, Culture, and Creativity
Angelica Artifex is an artist whose music is shaped by rich experiences and heartfelt
connections. Born to Swedish, Cuban, and Finnish roots, her multicultural heritage
gives her a unique voice as both a person and performer. The soulful rhythms of Cuban
culture, the clean Scandinavian sounds, and the nostalgia of her travels are at the heart
of her artistry. Angelica began recording at 12 and soon after was performing in jazz
festivals and clubs across Sweden, laying the foundation for the versatility that defines
her today.
Musical Journey
A defining moment came when she collaborated with R&B singer Frankie J—an artist
she admired as a kid in Sweden—recording three songs together: Lo Que Pasó, Chiliar,
and Borrón y Cuenta Nueva. The experience was a dream come true.
Today’s Sound
Now performing as Angelica Artifex, she blends soulful pop and R&B with Latin
influences into a sound that is both intimate and universal. Her releases — Universo,
Good to Be Alive, Out in the Wild, Ring Ring, and her latest single So Bad — showcase
her ability to fuse rhythm, nostalgia, and emotion into music that resonates across
cultures.
With roots in Stockholm and Havana, and experiences spanning Europe, Latin America,
and the U.S., Angelica Artifex’s music is a bridge between worlds—where vulnerability
meets strength, style meets soul, and stories come alive through a song.
